Life Lately

Here's a peek at my life happenings as of late...

Santa Barbara just got finished celebrating our infamous Old Spanish Days "Fiesta."  Every year, the first week in August is set aside to celebrate the heritage of this amazing city.  Our Spanish founders have shaped Santa Barbara into a town rich in Spanish history, architecture and lifestyle.  Fiesta has been celebrated since 1924 and has grown into an easy excuse to party your butt off and eat lots of yummy Mexican food.
We definitely ate a lot of good food but didn't exactly get to party like we used to.  Having a baby means celebrating in other ways.

My favorite part of Fiesta is how the town becomes one large decorated party.

We dressed up in our festive gear and hit the town.

We watched the annual parade from the patio of a restaurant.  It was the perfect spot to get drinks and enjoy the show.

Our lil man has been taking swim lessons the past few weeks.  At this age he's not really learning to swim, it's just a way to get him more comfortable in the water. Luckily he doesn't need much coaxing.  He LOVES pool and bath time. We've been taking the lessons alongside close friends which has made it extra special.

We've also been doing our best to get in as much cousin time as possible..
